A 20 Meg image - imagine the cost of a harddrive when the 286 was new!
Do you have a serial port on both computers?
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Serial-HOWTO-11.htmlWe used serial and parallel ports to transfer data. I have not done that for eleven years but it worked well.
