Tracy,

>WOOOOOOOOOO. Pardon us. You are right of course. What was that saying about 'biting the hand that feeds you?' That's similar to grudgingly thanking the fireman or policeman for saving your life because first he didn't really want to do it and 2nd he only did it because it was his job. Sheesh. Hopefully we won't get involved in politics in the Netherlands EVER AGAIN. Fend for yourself. If only we had let you fend for yourselves back then (Anne Frank I'm sorry for writing this). I think there may be a lot of Americans rolling over in their graves in the Netherlands American Cemetery. I may have to start a campaign to bring them home.

I did not mean to upset you nor any american here. Esspecially those who gave their lives. Sorry to come accross that way. But my point was and is that the US was for a great deal ignoring the WAR until they got dragged into it. When Hitler had forces in the US that sabotaged shipping to brittain and some plan from hitler to start a war in the south of the US from mexico the US could not ignore the war, aside from the fact of Pearl Harbor. History is not always plain and simple. It simply never is.

Don't get me wrong. I have a tremendous respect for all forces that gave their lives to liberate europe from the nazis. I'm also thankfull they did. But I'm also aware that the US at some point was dragged into the war and had to take our side and provide active militairy aid to liberate europe.

>I spent some time with soldiers from the Netherlands while I was in the military. Thank goodness they didn't voice the same opinions then that you do now Walter. I have the greatest respect for those I worked with. The Netherlands are beginning to sound more and more like some of our citizens here in the U.S. everyday.

Again, I think you misinterpretate my message. I'm very glad you did liberate europe. I'm thankfull for it.

Walter,
