Theoretically it should be, but the rule of keeping proper Latin plurals is going out of fashion, at least on this side of Atlantic. I've also heard that some try to make a distinction: indexes are index files, indices are pointers into an array. Likewise, a disc is something you can hold in your hand (a CD, DVD, vinyl record, floppy), while a disk is your HDD.

And no, I didn't mean "-xs" to be plural of anything ending with an -x; it was just an eggxzample of phyne ckreative spelling. Gno bigue deel, just pseemed funny at the time.
