Thank you so much for that in depth explaination. Now I understand clearly and I'll remember it. So really, the Refresh is just value refresher not a screen refresher. To refresh the appearance, we use Draw instead.
My operation could take up to 6 or 7 minutes, so the progress feedback is necessary even though it adds time to the operatioin. Otherwise, the user is going to call me for sure saying my app has locked up.
