I'm sorry many Americans feel that way. In fact, Americans can and do count on Canada. The only real sticking point has been Iraq, which I felt from the start was an ill advised invasion.

We have been with you from the start in Afghanistan and we are sending more troops.

Our Brig.-Gen. David Fraser is taking 2,200 troops into the perilous south of Afghanistan later this month. He is to take command of a multi-national brigade in the Kandahar area this summer, as NATO takes over much of the Afghanistan load from the American-led coalition that has been in the country for more than three years.
