Could you elaborate about [problems with the SP1 patch]?

I encountered a problem where some files were not completely patched in the FFC directory. Typically the VCX but not the VCT would be updated, leaving files out of synch.

This happened because of a DateTime stamp being updated in one of the VCT/VCX file pairs, which would happen in the event you viewed a class (you didn't have to save changes, just viewing it in the class designer would change the datetime stamp).

I believe that the patch process skips files that are not of the date/time it expects - a good thing, usually, to ensure that newer files are not overwritten.

The official answer from MSFT is that you should reinstall VFP 9.0 RTM, then apply the patch, to get the best results. I tend to agree with this.
