Hi Nick,

Aside from the link that Sergey posted, you can download the Exchange Server SDK from microsoft. There are sample application there but not quite sure if there is an archiving sample. Check on the help files too.

BTW, better understanding of the database files can help you to create a mail archiving utility. You can code your program to execute and run the Exmerge utility, but this will be in a wizard, you have to specify which mailbox store to archive, etc. I'm studying also how to develop one instead of using GFI mail archiving software or those mail archiving hardwares...
