Glad to see the 'probably incorrect'. My own feeling is that it is completely incorrect. Declaring a war for spurious reasons on a country unable to defend itself doesn't sound much like a 'time of need' to me. After 911, Canada was right there to send troops into Afghanistan, and rightly so, imho. Given another 911, Canada will be right there again. Of course, now that Stephen Harper is in power, we are more likely to step up to the plate for even the most inane reasons. I have a feeling we now have a prime minister who will yell 'How high, SIR!' when George yells "Jump!" It would be nice if he proves me wrong, but there is nothing in his past to make me hopeful.
