I'm trying to automate the printing of some Wordmerge documents.
Word is the customer's choice so they can change the text, layout etc at will.
I've tried tables & Excel for the datasource. Haven't tested Word though.
Right now I have set the datasource to Excel so the customer doesn't have to translate from long field names to short ones. ( They originally wrote all the SQL's for the documents.)

Now my question...

What are the advantages/disadvantages of using each datasource. At present all I have is a very small dataset so I'm unsure what will happen in real world situations. The real world dataset will be about 1500 - 2000 records max each day.
