Hi all

A client has a (presumably) virus infection of VBS/Redlof. folder.htt and desktop.ini are being created left, right and center.

Now the problem as far as the app is converned is that they loose entries. The app, when a document, say a payment, is entered generates equivalant general journal entries, which has a debit as well as a credit record (can be more than one on both the sides).

Now what has been happening is that, say the debit entries are generated and the credit enties are missing. This has never been the case before (except for power failure) and the computer is UPS protected.

It was being laid thick and heavy on the app, until I found out an infection in one of their backup.

The dbf, fpt and cdx are of the following size resp. 6.06MB, 3.09MB, 1.70MB.

Please advise, why has the application started misbehaving all of a sudden if not for a viral infection? and even then will such a virus effect the data streams?
Regards
Bhavbhuti
