There was an animated show on TV a while back called 'God, the devil, and Bob'. It was a hoot. They made 13 episodes, but only 4 were ever aired before it got yanked (I think all 13 were aired in the UK). Apparently there were complaints by religious groups that God looked too much like Jerry Garcia. James Garner was the voice of God.
