I just spent some frustrating time trying to solve a problem with an updated database and thought I'd share what happened. I had a database with tables and remote views. I removed all of the table refereneces but wanted to keep the views and stored procedures. After removing the tables, I could not modify the stored procedure without getting the message "The database item you selected has been modified or deleted. Do you want to refresh the project now?".

There were Yes/No options, but neither gives a result. If I worked from the MODIFY DATABASE command I could modify the procedures, but not within the project manager. VALIDATE DATABASE did not work either. Finally, I opened the .DBC directly and saw deleted records for the tables that I removed. I PACKed the .DBC and that took care of the problem and I can modify the stored procedures from the project manager.

Hopefully this was just a bug with v.7. I will be receiving v.9 soon.
