I doubt it. The vast majority of the voting population in the US is religious to some degree or another, and politicians of all stripes like to play to that fact. For some presidents, religion is merely a robe they wear - Clinton didn't strike me as a particularly God-fearing individual.

The problem with atheism is that it is practically a religion unto itself here. I'd settle for an agnostic party.
