Gotcha, hopefully Tracy's and Paul's posts will help. I'm pretty sure there is and ADSI call you can make to do what you want.

However, say you were logged into the machine and I came up and started the app. We don't want me to have the same rights as you because you're the one logged into the machine. I have to enter my username and password and then I want to verify from AD that they are valid.
