Has anyone ever tried saving FRX and FRT files in some kind of SQL Server binary fields and reconstituting them to disk when needed?

We have a central SQL Server cluster, but have the app's FRXs (including those created on a regular basis by users through the QueryMaker part of our app) stored in a folder on an app server. There is a backup app server always ready to be turned on, but it's not clustered or automatically kept in sync.

We need to keep the FRX folder on the backup server updated, which we can do with some kind of regular backup routine, but it just occurred to me that a better solution might be to store 'em in SQL Server, which will always be ready and up-to-the-minute updated.

How about it? Anyone got an idea?
