Suppose you have a child table that contains 4 fields keyfield, _year, amount, and _type. We want to display these fields in a grid but limit the records to only 1 specific year (lnYear1). Further, I have 10 of these grids, each displaying data for a different year.

One way to do this is to open the table with 10 different alias's and set a filter for each year to match the needs of the grid. But I'm wondering if there's a better way.

Any suggestions?
