You are still going to have to save the image somewhere. You can drop an image on the report and instead of entering a path/file name, enter the name of a field in a cursor, e.g. cPicture. Make sure you still indicate "File" as the picture source.

Save the picture to a file .. and place the path/file name in the cPicture field in the cursor. When the report prints, it will evaluate the field, and find the file indicated.
