>>>This looks like another case of a guy that thought he would be untouchable whatever he did. It's been witnessed with so many others before.

>>>Oh yeah that's right he did'nt know that his wife (ROFMLAO) was involved in that betting scam.

>>>Oh yeah the olympics. I don't care anymore. Gretzky's still there and he should'nt.

>>What a crock of crap, Denis.
>>First, people bet all the time, with no idea that there may be underworld figures involved.

You're talking the U.S. here, Denis. Betting happens all over the place. Think Las Vegas and the tentacles to/from there. These guys happen to have more $$$ than most, but I gotta guess it's done in the same 'spirit' as me an my $10. bet ***through*** my friend. I have no idea if my friend is connected to the Mob.

>>Third, there's been no hint that Gretzky himself is involved, other than late in the game asking how to protect his wife.

I don't think so... this isn't politics after all.
Strangest of all to me is that this is not about gambling on hockey, yet all this fuss. **IF** Mrs. Gretzky knew it was through the Mob, that's one thing, but if not it's a whole other thing.
