The 'canes are doing great this year (just
barely behind Detroit). I'm voting for USA (of course) but especially since the 'canes will have players in the olympics. Head Coach Laviolette as well as Erik Cole, Doug Weight, and Bret Hedican will play for the US. Martin Gerber will play for Switzerland, and Frantisek Kaberle (spelling?) for Czech Republic. Eric Staal was named to the taxi squad for Canada. The Carolina Hurricanes had a great sendoff in Raleigh yesterday for them all.
