Along similar lines I have a XIMETA NetDisk 160GB.
It is NTFS and it hooks up as either a network device (G: in my case) or via USB. I have it running through my router. I can mount/unmount as desired.
It has a limitation of 2 read-write systems simultaneously, but that has not been a problem amongst my 3 systems as I usually have it unmounted on all and mount it when I want to do backups/restores.
I like it a lot. Latest drives, installed for about a year now, have been flawless.
A small issue on mounting because Windows insists on looking for music on the thing, but otherwise very good.
