>>>>Grrr, thanks for reminding me of that godawful band. Everyone thinks of the late 60s and early 70s as rock music's nirvana (so to speak). It was, but there sure were also some crapola bands around. BS&T come to mind, as do Chicago and Black Oak Arkansas. Ouch, I just threw my back out remembering Black Oak Arkansas. I actually bought one of their albums! LOL
>>>
>>>I still listen to BS&T, though not that often. Chicago, however, is one of the bands which started really cool, and should have been summarily shot at some point. For them, that point is IMO "if you leave me now", an incredible bucket of sugar water. For Deep Purple, last good album is "~ in rock". We could keep banging on this for days :).

>>I liked a few bands back then, but for me, the only band that really mattered was "The Band". Even when they were the 'Hawks'.

>One of my favorites, too. Do you have "The Last Waltz" DVD? That has held up very well.

Oh, yes. I had it on tape first, but the DVD is easier to use to jump from place to place. I still have a bunch of their vinyl. Same with Gracie Slick and JA, Procol Harum, Arthur Brown, Bloodwyn Pig. Someday I'm going to have to put the vinyl onto CD or DVD, but right now my turntable is downstairs, and my PC is upstairs, and I don't feel like running wire all over the house.
