Have you checked that the Microsoft Data Access Components (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?DisplayLang=en&FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c) installed is the same version on both machines? Also if either are Win95/98 machines then check that DCOM (http://www.microsoft.com/Com/) is installed.
