Trials are hugely expensive. If trial costs can be reduced then drug costs can too, meaning there's a better chance Indians will be able to afford them.

If trials are less expensive, then drug companies will run them for more drugs, increasing the chance that a low-cost breakthrough will be found.

Participants in trials get free drugs, which in many cases will improve their quality of life or may even save their lives. Indian personnel are employed monitoring the trials and compiling results.

Could you please explain how the above are exploitive or immoral?

BTW in case you're thinking that Indians are being exploited by ignoring or downplaying adverse events encountered during trials (i.e. "guinea pigs" in the worst sense), First World drug-approval agencies require that stringent AE reporting procedures be followed regardless of where trials are located.
