>>I must say that I dislike people enjoying someone else’s tragedy. The specific case in point is Vice President Cheney and his hunting companion Harry Whittington . I think that both men require support and not criticism.

>>The medical condition of Harry Whittington is serious as far as I can determine. Cheney must be devastated. This is not an issue that should be made fun of. I would rather pray for both men and their families. Making a joke of a tragedy is disgusting!

>You're darn tootin' Whittington's condition is serious. Our first clue should have been that he was in the ICU, even though the administration was spinning like crazy to make us think it was no big deal. Now it has come out that he had a heart attack, and pellets are still in his heart.

>I don't think it should be made a joke of, even though that always happens and there is nothing we can do to stop it. As far as Cheney, he is certainly not getting my support. He seriously screwed up. Now he has come out with a howler of a lame-O excuse for why it happened. He says the sun was in his eyes. Maybe it's just me but that would not seem like an ideal time to fire a shotgun, if you can't see.
To err is human, to forgive devine. If you're shooting birds, when they are flushed into the open they fly upward or even overhead. This requires the shooter to track them, possibly into the sunlight.
