How about Bush declares himself President for life or until the war on terror has ended? :)

>Imagine this scenario:

>a. Cheney is indicted for negligent manslaughter (not likely, but it could happen based on the law)
>b. Cheney resigns
>c. Bush appoints Condoleeza Rice
>d. Condoleeza and Hilary slug it out in 2008

>>>McCain. I would vote for him. Given his age and the emnity of the hard right portion of the party, though, I'm not sure he will even run. Beyond him, I don't know who they have out there. Cheney will be too old and is too polarizing. Bill Frist? Nope. Denny Hastert? Puh-leeze. Maybe Tom DeLay, he's got some time on his hands now ;-)

>>Look, you're going to have to learn to stop saying they. It's now WE, since you have started the move towards becoming a social conservative Republican!

>>>The Democrats are no better off. The biggest problem is the image of limp losers is attached to them like a barnacle at this point. Lots of people think Hillary will get the nomination. I sure hope not. Completely unelectable. Her husband got most of the political skills in the family. Lots of people hate Bill Clinton with a passion but you can't deny he has great personal warmth and knows how to electrify a crowd. Hillary is anything but warm and electrifying. I would be just fine with a woman president, but it isn't going to be her.

>>I agree, but it will be interesting. I don't see any rising stars on the horizon for either party.
