About 1/2 of the way down the course the Swiss and remaining Canadian get tangled up a bit and the 2nd Canadian go straight over one of the huge banked turns, into the fence and almost takes out a race official. At this point the American is dozens of metres ahead of the Swiss woman. On the last jump the American does a trick and falls. The Swiss (the underdog) zips by her and gets the gold medal. The American woman gets a silver (I think I saw her coach mouth a profanity). At this point, the 2nd Canadian that went into the fence manages to get back on to the course and finishes and gets the bronze. The 1st Canadian is hauled off on a stretcher.
