>I would take more stock in the UN report if the investigators spoke with anyone from Guantanamo or visited it. They conducted no investigation at all. They only took reports from individuals complaining of abuse. There has been no real investigation. Now, I am not saying that the report is wrong, only an investigation can determine that. I am saying that the report is WORTHLESS because it is UNSUBSTANTIATED. Truly dissappointing for the UN. It causes me to lose total faith in the UN and its procedures.

What is dissapointing is that the U.S. did not allow the U.N. unrestricted access. Their "invitation" to visit the prisoners was a farce. And that is the reason the U.N. didn't go visit.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
