I didn't see it as slow. It was as fast as or faster than VFP7 version. However foxpro continues to surprise me. Last week during a class I was showing the students that tables, with indexes on needed columns, would result in faster SQL results compared to ones without any indexes. It was at least what we have learnt all these years and advicing people to do so:) VFP proved me wrong. The version with no indexes were faster! I tried many variations like clearing the cache, set ... on/off and still the version w/o indexes were faster. Should be an intermittent illusion:)
