Oh, I misread. We had a few cases like the one I had in mind, there was one Pope and one Soviet leader who lasted less than a year, which was then explained in a popular joke:

- the guy was recalled as per terms of the one-year warranty
- the guy's lifelong one-year term has expired
- the guy was replaced because the viewer from California asked for it (yes we did have that one on TV for a while)
