From your description, Visual Extend - the only framework I used a lot - seems appropriate.

>Hi,
>
>I know it is quite a subjective matter to choose the best VFP framework, so I try to provide as many info as possible regarding my needs.
>
>I can't afford a "long period of trying" through all the framework found in the market (I learn about them from Fox Wiki and Google) and I will have big problem if I pick a wrong one to begin with because I can't afford to turn to another better framework later. (I simply don't have the time)
>
>Background
>1) I am a xBase (Clipper) programmer for the past 12 years. Self employed and is still supporting about a dozen of my Clipper (LANs) applications today.
>2) I have chosen VFP 9 for all my future applications (all are commerce/trade related appls)
>3) I am a VFP newbie but not a newbie to the desgin of data centric applications.
>4) I have decided to learn VFP together with a commercial VFP Framework and the result of my learning will be the first VFP project that I must deliver to my customer no latter than August 2007 (i.e. I have about one and half a year to go)
>
>The project
>1) Convert and extend existing CLIPPER applications (which are done by me, so I already know the details of what to convert and what to extend) to VFP applications which will run on a LANS environment.
>2) Existing applicarions=integrated Inventory+Invoicing+Accounting for a fruit importer/trader
>3) LANS environment=a Novell 6.5 server with less than 10 workstations (Win98 and WinXp)
>4) I try to avoid asking customer to change their backend server (e.g.to SQL server), at least not now...
>
>The future
>1) I intend to create 2 different (languages) version for every of my future application. One in English and the other one in Chinese. (A mix of the 2 languages will be even better)
>2) I do concern about the lifespan of a framework since I prefer to stick with one.
>
>Would anyone kindly recommend a good VFP framework to me base on the above "needs" as I have described?
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
