Hi Joel,

What I'm about to say is not directed solely towards you, but also at portions of this thread and the comments Claude Fox has made...

Seriously, this entire thing about the ActiveVFP project being rejected is getting blown way out of proportion. I mean besides being called boneless and stooges by Claude Fox (in private and now in public) for rejecting his project, Doug Hennig, Rick Schummer and I are now being accused of being afraid of something or trying to secretly make the Visual FoxPro Community switch to .NET or driving another nail into VFP's coffin. The entire thing would be somewhat offensive if it wasn't entirely ludicrous.

So we add Claude's project to SednaX and do what? Post a link back to his website, promote his product, and maybe generate a few more paypal contributions for him? If you feel strongly about ActiveVFP and Claude's tireless contributions to the Visual FoxPro Community, then contact Claude and get involved and help him develop and promote his product or throw a few bucks into his paypal account. No one is stopping you or anyone else from working with Claude on ActiveVFP to make it into the premiere web application framework for Visual FoxPro.

There are a million other things that I feel like saying here, but this has already been given way too much airtime. Anyone who has their doubts about what Rick, Doug, or my intentions are or where our hearts are at is encouraged to take a look at some of the thousands of contributions we have made to Visual FoxPro and the Visual FoxPro Community. If you still feel we are boneless stooges intent on helping to kill Visual FoxPro and that rejecting ActiveVFP was just the first sign of this... then I guess there's really no convincing you otherwise.

I personally find Claude's private and now public ad hominem attacks, unprofessional and lacking in merit.

>Well let's not start making accusations now. As far as I can see this is a trully free Open Source product that has had a lot of work put into it and was given to the community to help fvp out. Robert nailed it - what are these guys afraid of?
