>Except roads - which are great, wide and easy to drive on. And ample parking space almost everywhere (well, I'm not driving a personal tank, so I can almost park sideways).
The US roads are not bad - but not the best. And no, german highways are definately NOT the best - too much money is being "redistributed" and maintainance has been lagging for more than 15 years. The best roads I drove on were in south africa - wide, well maintained, ample for the amount of cars using them (last visit to SA in '99)... and I have been to quite a few places.
I was quite surprised on my first visit <g>
