Granted, but that's small potatoes when held up to comparison with everything else. The Wyoming Territory hardly qualifies as 'The U.S.'. You can usually find small pockets of any country where things are different, but it makes more sense to me when saying that The US is the best at everything, that you actually talk about the U.S., and not some minor part of it. Especially when you consider that when Wyoming wanted to become a state, the U.S. government threatened to disallow them unless they got rid of women's suffrage. So how forward thinking was that? Fortunately the gov backed down on the threat when Wyoming told them to stick statehood where the sun don't shine if that was going to be a sticking point.
