If the admins need to poll the hundreds of members everytime a new project is proposed, you'll end up with chaos and that will lead SednaX to have lots of products that aren't going anywhere. It won't serve the marketplace by have dozens of products that just sit there collecting dust.
>Thanks for your reply. As a member of SednaX, why was I never asked about this? Other members I've spoken to have told me they were never contacted either. It seems you got input from a small number of people who have their own likes and dislikes. I can see your concern about favoring one technologyu over another, but, isn't this better achieved in the marketplace, not among a small group of gatekeepers? After all, as you have said about everyone having a freedom of choice, couldn't members just decide not to use it if they don't like it? My own personal opinion is that the members should have been apprised of your concerns and a vote taken, at the very least. For projects like these, I think it should be a top priority to have member input and strive to maintain some sort of independence from outside interests, especially Microsoft. Just my .02
