Nicholas,
We have a saying in Argentina (well, at least I heard this several times <g>) that goes like (bad translation probably) "Rugby is an animal's game played by gentlemen, while football (soccer) is a gentlemen's game played by animals" <g>
>Ironically rugby which is a far more violent game has much more respect for the referee. You never see rugby players harassing the referee the way soccer players do. A rugby player who intimidated or even touched a referee could well face a life ban from the game.
