>It sounds like it's not really about ActiveVFP but your policies running it? You claim to be a foxpro community project and open source. It sounds like you have disregarded community input and acted unilaterally in dumping a project you had previously mentioned as one of SednaX's flagships. Also, it sounds like you are not adhering to any kind of Open Source definition. So, I would tend to agree with Claude. BTW, it also sounds like Ken Levy is having an ongoing influence in running SednaX.

The post I read this week here on the UT about ActiveVFP and SednaX was the first I knew about it. I'm not even a member of the SednaX project, I have zero input on what is done is added or not added there. The definition of open source does not include any requirements to force people to spend their own personal time on projects that they do not want to be involved in. What I am trying to educate people on is that those who contribute to an open project like SednaX have the right to work on or not work on anything they want, it is up to them. There is nothing preventing you or anyone else from starting your own open source project online. How about you start a new online project for ActiveVFP, manage the source code and work to enhance the code base with others, etc.? What is preventing you from doing this yourself Joel? I'd be glad to help you point you to the information you need for creating a new Code Gallery project, or you can go to SourceForge or other locations for hosting open projects.
