I still don't see that point. Only because ActiveVFP is rejected to be part of SednaX, it doesn't mean it vanishes. It's still there, isn't it? And still as much competition to West Wind as if it would become part of SednaX.

You seem to think that SednaX will become part of Sedna and therefore seemless integrate right into vfp10. It does not. As far as planned, SednaX will just be a third party product like others nowadays. So the only benefit to become part of SednaX is the fame of SednaX.

I'd say for developers who seek web enabling vfp ActiveVFP is already or still better known than SednaX.

I agree, that including third party products or even just light versions of these products in SednaX would not interfere with competition. But Craig Boyd is right that this would surely be seen as a sign of preference over other comparable products. If all vendors of web enabling products would put some light version into SednaX, that could be okay again. I doubt that this will happen.

Although you say you understand, that SednaX cannot be compared to Sourceforge you have an understanding that the rejection of ActiveVFP is judging ActiveVFP as not being open source. That is wrong. But SednaX is not just a community and collection of projects, it will ideally result in a product, even if that is "only" a component gallery. Therefore the argument of "not just simply putting together all open source vfp projects" is very important.
