I don't mean to discourage you, but I agree with Craig's comment: finding volunteers willing to put in the time required may be difficult. And I think you need to think things through a bit: do you truly want a site where anything can be posted by anyone, regardless of the actual value? IMO, there needs to be a vetting process to decide what stays and what goes. Perhaps it could be more democratic than SednaX, where just three administrators make decisions about what projects are in or out. However, in any organization, you need someone to make the decisions. Otherwise, you simply end up with another place like the UT or CompuServe rather than a true project site.

Just my opinion.
