I have a mailmerge process that creates a tab delimited txt file for use by Word. Easy enough. My users would like to have an RTF control on a form to avoid later formatting each time the documents are generated. No problem there. However, when I produce the tab delimited mail merge data file with the rather awkward RTF string as a field, Word blows sky high at merge time. I assume it's because of the length of the field data, which might be several paragraphs and/or the embedded RTF codes .

The question becomes: "Anyone know a way to have an RTF string as part of a mail merge file?"
