Cindy,

I looked for this text here on the UT and also on GotDotNet. Can you tell me where it comes from and who said it to help me with the context of this text? Thanks.

It was in an SednaX communication from Craig Boyd on 10/20/05.

I'm a Third Party Vendor... How can SednaX help me?(10/20/2005 1:48:39 PM)

If you've listened to the latest FoxShow podcast, you'll have heard the discussion that Andrew MacNeill and Doug Hennig had about this very thing. SednaX is primarily a place for the Visual FoxPro Community to create open source add-ons and such for Visual FoxPro that complement the Sedna efforts by Microsoft. But, it is also a place where you can provide a free scaled-down (or lite) version of your Third Party Tools that will provide added functionality (value) to Visual FoxPro for the developers that use it. This gives your component/tool/or whatever additional exposure and could result in a significant number of paid for upgrades to the full version of your product.

So I guess the point is, if you have something that will add value and improves Visual FoxPro in some way, we'd love to have it and distribute it as part of SednaX. Shareware, or anything that has a time limit will not be considered, but freeware that has limited functionality is welcome.

If you are a vendor of a Third Party tool or component that works well with Visual FoxPro and wish to have a lite version of your product included please send an email to me at craig@sweetpotatosoftware.com and put "SednaX Third Party" in the subject line. Be sure to include a brief description of your product, what the lite version would include and a link to your website (if you have one).

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
