>I'm looking at a client's system where there are lots of older FoxPro DOS components around. I don't use VFP VSS integration, so I should be able to use VSS with these older components if I check in/out the SCX/SCT and SPR simultaneously. Right?

Right.

>Is there any way in VSS to add descriptions for all components? To me, all components include procedures inside individual PRGS. The issue is to be able to produce a report of all modules and what they do and to quickly locate a particular UDF, since there's no documentation worth mentioning.

When you go through VSS 6.0's interface to create a project then add a bunch of files form a folder, it prompts you with a dialog including an edit box to enter comments/description. There is a checkbox to make this one comment the same for all entries else it prompts you with a comment box for every file.
