Hey, Mike

I wanted to follow up with an example of things I don't like about Scott Hamilton.

Last night, when Sasha Cohen fell, he said, "There's a fall". Ummm.. ok.. yeah.. I know that.. I can see it.. I don't need to be told. This isn't radio.

Then when she fell again, he said, "There's another." I had the same reaction.

>Good luck bringing the winter games back to Salt Lake, that would be great. It doesn't seem to happen that way, though. Hosting the Olympics seems to be a once in a lifetime event for any given city.

>I prefer Scott Hamilton's commentary to that of Dick Button. Surprisingly to me, though, Hamilton has been far more critical than Button in the events they have covered together. Hamilton was all over Plushenko, who won gold in a walk, while Button praised his performance. Maybe it was a gay thing.

>We just disagree about Bob Costas so I will let it drop.

>I have a friend who skis a lot near her getaway place in Lake Tahoe, and she says exactly the same thing about the "shredders." She says they are obnoxious mountain hogs who care nothing about the enjoyment of others. But they're fun to watch on TV.

>I understand the distinction you are making between luge and skeleton. Plus you are on your back in one and on your stomach in the other. Still, they seem a lot more alike than different.
>
>Enjoy the games tonight!
