The biggest difference I see between the MM.Net and StrataFrame is that StrataFrame has a real DAL/BOL generator whereas MM.Net merely creates stub classes which still require a great deal of coding to make complete. On the other hand, StrataFrame seems to me weak on the ASP.NET side of things. The WinForms stuff appears to be simpler, and much more polished than MM.Net. This is based on having downloaded StrataFrame and playing with it a bit. The StrataFrame folks admit to having been MM.Net users before developing their framework. If that's the case, then you have to admire how quickly they put together their framework - including the DAL/BOL generator - which I've been waiting for in MM.Net for ages and ages. Perhaps LLBLGen is closer to what I want than either StrataFrame or MM.Net. If I didn't have so much invested in MM.Net I would switch to LLBLGen right away. Still, I hope MM.Net gets some serious focused development time so that the DAL/BOL stuff finally gets out in a timely manner.

Sorry for my rambling here... :)

Regards,
Carl.

>>MM.Net leaves a lot to be desired - particularly in comparison to StratFrame which is, IMHO, several orders of magnitude better than MM.Net.

>>>>Hi: Not trying to troll or anything, but I just viewed the hosted online demo of the Strataframe http://www.strataframe.net/ , and I've got to say its worth taking a look at if you're looking for a .Net framework. Price is a little steep for the individual developer, since the Database Deployment tool which is a seperate tool is definitely a good tool. I haven't felt this interested in a framework since I first got my hands on the Codemine framework..Anyway, just a heads up. Look at the online demo then participate in the GotoMeeting webinar and I think you'll be pleased. Maybe we can get a UT discount going.

>>>Have you checked out the Mere Mortals framework yet?
