Yes, I had the pages in edit mode alright. In response to - there maybe some enabling/disabling code that I might have put in - I had meant with this is that if there was any enabling/disabling code then the duplicates would not have been affected by my code, the duplicates should have enabled.

Actually, there was framework code in the UIEnable of the chk which prevented a refresh if a property was set to false when the page was made active. As UIEnable is not fired first time the form activates, I get the chk working on page1 and on other pages UIEnable does not this.refresh() due to the property being set false. When manipulating classes I guess I had missed making this property True only for the chk and so the problem.

Thanks for taking timeout to respond to my problem, I am sorry this was a problem in a way I had myself created but was not obviously staring in my face.
