Hi All
Developed a vfp7 application (.exe) using CodeMine 7.1.
Have a client who has been running the vfp7 application on an old Pentium 120 with 24 mb ram and Win 95 for most of this last year. (I know what you're thinking, but it appeared to work.) Just lately, he started getting out of memory errors, so I got him a new Pentium 4 3.06 ghz with 512 mb of ram and Win XP. When he started adding records he still got the following warning when he tried to save the changes.:
"Unable to commit changes for MyTable. There is not enough memory to complete this operation." (512 mb of memory not enough??) <g>
(Note: The changes were saved even though the warning said they were not).
This happened for about 3 to 4 records, and then the warning stopped showing up. From then on during that session no warnings were displayed when he saved the changes.
When I got back to the office I looked at the form being used and all the tables had their buffering set to 1 (Whatever the form is set to). The form buffering was set to 2-Optimistic. The form is also set for a private data session.
Could this be what was causing the warnings to display at save time? I thought that when you closed an application the system saved all buffered records to disk.
All help appreciated.

God Bless you,

Bill Wright
