I don't like osteopaths for exactly that reason. I hate being manipulated and crunched around. Give the Alexander Technique a go . Its very gentle but you'll probably have to pay unless your company scheme will cover it.

>Thanks. No I'm not self-employed (I stopped being that for this sort of reason!). It's just an uncomfortable annoyance now and I'm due to see the physio again this evening. Funny - the osteo pulled and pushed and battered me (causing me a WORLD of hurt in my forearm!), the condition was getting better, then I had another sesh and it went acute again. The physio just did some mild neck manip to gap the nerve (which is inflamed) and wouldn't do anything that hurt me if he could avoid it.

>>Sorry to hear about your trapped nerve. Hope your not self employed as I know how that sort of thing can damage your finances. I had an minor foot op last year and was then told "Oh by the way don't put any weight on it and no driving for 4 weeks at least". Luckily I had some off site work that I could do.

>>>I've just been off for the past 2 weeks with a trapped nerve in my neck and, because I just couldn't DO anything I spent a lot of time stuffed with cushions, watching day-time TV (much of it US films and TV series).
