I know a guy who works next door to me who had it about 6 years ago. Up til then I had never heard of it. He was working for the airlines when he got it so they gave him paid leave the entire time. He eventually got a full medical retirement because it was such a slow process. They said months but his left side of his face simply wouldn't go back to normal after 8 months. They gave him the medical retirement and then complete use of his left side returned almost immediately. I always accused him of faking it (even though I saw him during the time period and knew he was really sick in reality). He had an excellent sense of humor about it.
>I got it about a week ago. Could last up to 6 months. Anyone else?

>I have a good attitude about such things, so it's kind of funny if you look at it the right way. I laugh at myself first and usually harder than others do, so all the popeye and elephant man jokes are most welcome...
