>The nice thing about these impossible items is that I get a lot of fun while looking for them, see many puzzled faces (of clerks :) and eventually find what I was looking for (except the clumps/clogs/whatevers). I even found rye bread without any caraway whatsoever. That one took two years to find.

You're like my brother... no caraway. I like it in both configurations. I don't understand the fuss.

>And the only other 24-hr-clock-capable thing in the house (the oven, the microwave, and the VCR have clocks in them) is the AC thermostat.

A little off topic, but this might appeal to you... I have what looks like at first glance, a Panasonic "binary" microwave... 4 buttons: 1 second, 10 seconds, 1 minute, 10 minutes.

> Everything else is either just 12-hr (ovens) or AM/PM (VCR - which makes for very nasty GUI when you try to program it, their simulation of radio buttons makes it quite unclear whether what you see is what you have, or what you see is what you can choose).

Have you ever picked the wrong colours for a FPD2.6 yes/no type alert box where you couldn't tell whether you were picking yes or no? I found out early it is GOOD to test your work!
