I use the "hey you" approach to shooting. It is really just a matter of getting comfortable and pointing the pistol toward the target. We went through the weaver stuff for a few years, but I didn't like it. I figured if the outfit that teaches the Seals, Green Beret, most special forces and many SWAT units doesn't teach the weaver method, it must not be all that great. I attended a week-long school back in the late 80s with our SWAT team at the Mid-South Survival Shooting Institute and they taught us to just get comfortable and that "slow is fast".
