There is if all your cars are right-hand drive. I've said this before: most people are right-handed and, if I'm to take a hand off the wheel, for mundane automaton purposes, such as gear changing, I prefer my skilful, strong hand to remain in control.
Now GB, India, Australia, Japan, NZ, SA, Malta, et al all can't be wrong!
